What is Geography? Why is it important?

Geography is the study of the people and landscape on the earth. It is one type of Social Studies class. We only live on one planet, so we should all know what is on it and what all the parts are like. The world is becoming increasingly interconnected and what happens in other countries effects us here in the United States. The purpose of this class is to understand what is going on in the world and why these things are happening. Current Events, History, Science, Psychology, Business & Trade, Economics, and Political Science are all part of this class.
